Poetry

Loved up on the end of your needle

I type to you in my head

Stories of daily momentary commentary

Saying how I miss your face

book pain growing how

Moment by moment I talk of

hope to prick the bubble that is my chat

How much easier to let you speak

To feel the stab of your heroin

Rush through my veins

have your words caress my thighs Until I can speak no more

roll your words around my tongue until your eyes skype my tears

It would be easier to yahoo.com

To spread my legs

Scroll down

glide to safety

but for the pace, space that @ inhabit for that to be

But for the pain, withdrawal, rush, throws, convulsions until

The next hit

I dream of you in my head

I want to step closer and tell

-You -

-Touch -

But I am an addict

So I

The Sun

Diurnal hours days

Minutes years all

Divided portioned

Measured neatly and

Displayed

All in order one by one

Counting the time

Until we are done

London

I encompassed you,
straddled margins side to side,
Dissected your arteries to anchor memory and
Drunk kisses from your thighs

When the Swan birthed
Feather words on butterfly charms,
Sliding westward like a loving tongue,
I flew from your arms

Your body has heaved
Its last sigh into my hair
Painting a blush mark into my skin
That leaves the ribbon rope ties bare

Promises

I have decided I believe
that clouds can’t defeat the sun
the truth remains
your words won’t fail
So I rise again, believing every one
Our conversations I remember
I hung onto every word
because I have faith
you’ll light my way
again

My Addiction

The place where God is

he is calling out to me

On the hill

Beneath the sunny stars

Where daisy’s lie awake in the night,

mermaids sing, fairies flitter between the trees

Here you meet me

holding out your hand for this dance

The irresistible pull of you

Flesh meets flesh As I begin to dream

Magic tingles my fingers – entwined with yours

We swirl, dip and cavort

In our dance where I drink

Your essence, your scent, the aroma of love

You  – a drug, a lover, a dream, a vision –

my addiction, my hope , my constant

in the time between times

you are my all

Terrorist Insurgency

The dentist drilled them out
one by one each mark
mercury poisoned
amalgam of thoughts
and replaced with composite
white
but sometimes twitches occur
tongue catches a crack
then a sliver
of you gets out

The Ex-Wife’s Lament (a sonnet)

My breasts are engorged
Full as if to feed a babe that has gone too long without
I have been woken from slumber by  your silent cry
Released from a prison buried under the ocean of years
My skin crawls with desire for you and hungers
Blistering on the sand of desert’s passion.
I burn, beyond hope and longing
Into the flames of uncaring
I burn past logic, past thinking
into the realm of being and feeling
To burn for you in hell
This hell, this uncaring, unknowing heart of darkness
Where pain and desire are the twins of rejection
And I, no longer able to hold you back, dissolve

Unless

When day light passes coldly and I sit tear tracking a place into my heart
Where you left out your phone number
And told me I was true
Then my body spoke out loud
And hated this appointment
So this when we speak
I shout silently and god speaks dust specks
Into the void that begun  when you first touched me
Today
Our thoughts have sailed and begun a flight
Down railway track, tracking the sleepers
That have been left in our path only to buckle
To send us into a siding where
Water lakes around our feet and we fly into the depth where whales sing
the breath and depth of the hate we left behind
today
when day light calls insects into wakefulness
legs crawling into that woman’s voice
that cries out no
you cannot have me
unless

Vision

The sound echoed
creating rhythms within rhythms across my consciousness
the stiff dark bodies blew
and lazily spread their shade
across the everlasting sand
their colour betrayed them

The purple light grew dull
and the hues of tomorrow fastened their gaze upon me
the intensity bore down
and threw away all feeling
the tempest climaxed
when, shattering, its gaze broke
beneath my soul it ran
blotting out the vision

He said to tell you

Open your eyes
and see your reflection
While you’ve been travelling
you’ve already arrived

Your plumage has grown
all decked out in white
Awesome with beauty
you’re ready to fly

Look to the future
start beating your wings
You’re been made for this time
it’s your moment to rise

Tūrangawaewae

Here in this land of the long white cloud,

where the sound of the ocean beats in time with my heart,

here on the black sand where fire burns the soul,

here amongst the birds drifting and calling the dead

and the wind carries our tears away -

here where it is wild – here is where I stand.

Kibbled Rye

on a Monday

sunshine marinating

whisper thin breeze

snaking machine

making kibbled rye

for the apple of my eye.
